Injectable Fillers

At Hoopes Dental, we use the following FDA-approved hyaluronic acid-based injectable gel fillers:

BOTOX®

The use of BOTOX® in cosmetic applications is gaining attention, and you've probably heard about it many times. But did you know that it can be as simple as visiting your dentist? We are pleased to be one of the few dental practices that offer this unique treatment.

BOTOX® (botulinum toxin A) is a natural protein purified for medicinal use. Formulated for simplicity and safety, BOTOX® is gently injected into the muscles of the face. Within a few hours, the muscles begin to relax. As a result, the skin over the muscles also relaxes, and wrinkles disappear! We use it to smooth lines in the forehead, between and around the eyes, at the corners of the mouth, and other areas.

In addition to improving the way you look, BOTOX® can also be used as an analgesic. As experts of the face and mouth, dentists understand that pain and headaches come from many sources. We can use BOTOX® to provide lasting relaxation to the muscles that cause chronic headaches and TMJ pain. There is no numbness or other discomfort caused in the areas where BOTOX® application occurs. For most patients, results usually last three to four months. BOTOX® can simply be reapplied as needed.

Whether you want to recapture your youth or put an end to headaches and jaw pain, we can find a way for BOTOX® to help you. Important Safety Information.

PRP/PRF Microneedling

PRP and PRF Microneedling is an FDA-approved, scientifically proven method of skin rejuvenation. In fact, it’s the gold standard for natural skin rejuvenation. PRP/PRF microneedling stimulates cellular renewal by promoting collagen and elastin production.

Your skin looks and feels younger and more radiant without chemicals or lasers, and PRP/PRF microneedling is safe for all skin types. Because it is non-invasive, there is less recovery time, and the treatment is quick and practically pain-free.

PRP & PRF

PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, uses your body’s own blood platelets to stimulate cellular growth. In contrast, PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, uses your blood platelets and fibrin cells to create a scaffolding that supports the blood cells, activates clotting, and promotes blood cells’ activity.

PRP treatment releases growth factors for a few hours following treatment, while PRF causes growth factors to remain active for up to 14 days. This allows the skin to benefit from all the healing properties of the platelet serum. The fibrin also helps increase collagen production.

Microneedling

Microneedling involves rolling a series of small, medical-grade needles over the skin to create thousands of microscopic punctures on the treatment area. These small, superficial wounds trigger a healing response that increases circulation, creates more cells, and produces more collagen. The result is beautifully restored, naturally rejuvenated skin.

Patients can choose to add platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) to their microneedling procedure to enhance their results.

PRP/PRF Application

Before your treatment, a small blood sample is collected. It is run through a centrifuge to isolate white blood cells and platelets, creating a nutrient-rich concentrate. Just before microneedling, your doctor will apply the PRP/PRF serum to the treatment area. The microneedling procedure creates thousands of microscopic punctures, allowing the nutrient- rich serum to seep deep into the layers of your skin.

Microneedling with PRP/PRF treatment improves skin tone and texture, reduces age spots, acne scars, refreshes tired or dull-looking skin, and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles without extensive or invasive procedures.
